Janet Foret Lococo, is a full-blooded Cajun, born, reared and still residing on the banks of Bayou Lafourche in Lafourche Parish. Lafourche Parish is located in the lower most area of southern Louisiana and is commonly called “Bayou Country.”
Always a good storyteller, she has succeeded in humorously describing her life and her experiences as a Cajun that began in the 1930′s in her first book, CAJUN WOMAN: Pure & Simple. Born and raised in a home with no electricity (no radio or television or lighting), no indoor plumbing (no bathroom. Learn about out-houses), none of what we now consider necessities. But, we Cajuns had a lot of love and a lot of fun…
The release of her second book, CAJUN BRIDE: Venus & Mars Collide, is a delightfully funny book about real life collisions she experienced during forty-four of her forty-eight years of marriage. She thought she’d be the perfect wife; he’d be the perfect husband; and any children of this union would also be perfect. What a wake-up call for this Cajun.
Her third book, CAJUN MOM: The Witch and the Kids, was released on October 31, 2007. Yes, it was released on Halloween, and rightfully so. This wonderfully funny book tells the parenting stories as the author (The Witch) shares hysterical stories about her experiences raising three children.
These books fulfill her dream of publishing and attest to her fierce pride in her full-blooded Cajun heritage. She has always danced to her own music, and never worried about what others would think or say. She wears no masks, in life or in her books, as she tells it like it is.
Her first novel. LOST INNOCENCE is a work of fiction. It’s HOT, FUNNY, and for a change, NONE of it is true. A coming-of-age story that accurately depicts life in the bayou country during the 1950s. This beautiful love story will make you laugh AND cry. Ebook version is available on Amazon.com and Smashwords for $2.99.
It was followed a year later with the release of GUILTY PLEASURE! It is the sequel to Lost Innocence, it is just as hot! Just as spicy! A great love story. Ebook version is available on Amazon.com and Smashwords for $2.99.
Now she is happy to announce that her third novel, THE PRINCE WORE COWBOY BOOTS should be ready for release before Christmas. It is HOT and SEXY.
A retired registered nurse with over thirty years experience in the operating room, she has been married to the same wonderful man (Teddy) for 51 years. They have three children (Gaynell, Ted, and Pauline) and one granddaughter, Dominique Cecilia Lococo. The author and her husband have lived on a sugarcane farm for 51 years, and Teddy is a real cowboy!

I have read all of your books, including the new one that I received the day before Christmas Eve. I love them all. I only hope that there is more to come.
Dear Mrs. Lococo,
I’m DiAnne Cruse, Gaynell Moore’s cousin. She had you autograph your Novels, Lost Innocence and Guilty Pleasure for me. I finished the first one last night and loved it so much I couldn’t wait to start the sequel. I started to read it and couldn’t put it down and before I knew it it was 7:30 this morning and Finished it. Guilty Pleasure really touched me because I could relate to Jacquelyn’s feelings of guilt and feelings of betrayal. I lost my husband 3 years ago and still feel like I ‘d be unfaithful being with another man as he was the only man I ever knew as Cameron was to Jacquelyn. I wish I could get through my feelings as she did. I know this was fiction but made it feel very real to me as I read. They were truly a wonderful experience. I just talked to Gaynell and she gave me your email address, I just wanted you to know kept me mesmerized through both books. Thank you. I told Gaynell I’d her to get an autographed copy of” Cajun Bride.” She will be getting with you soon. Please keep my email address to let me know of future novels.
Sincerely,
DiAnne Cruse
I sent this about last Thursday my email server said invalid address, then I checked your web site and it gave the same address so I’m adding this:
