Located in Lafouche Parish, Louisiana, a Cajun Woman offers a book on life and customs in the Cajun Bayou Country
Like all real Cajuns, the author likes to have a good time. She enjoys telling stories and is really good at it. She is shown left, "chilling" at a beach with her grandaughter, Dominique, who captured the moment.

She has always been "her own person", though covertly until age 41, when she discovered that she was "O.K." and became willing to let the whole world see her exactly as she is!

is a retired Registered Nurse with 30+ years of experience in the Operating Room.

She is one of two children. Her sister Gaynell Theresa Foret, an elementary school teacher, died at age 24 of a brain tumor in her third year of teaching first grade.

Her father died at age 90 and her mother is alive and well at age 96.

Married for 50 years, she and her husband “Teddy” have three children (Gaynell, Ted, and Pauline) and one granddaughter Dominique Cecilia Lococo.

They have lived on a sugarcane farm for those 50 years and Teddy is a real cowboy! Yes, he is a cattle rancher
